How Reliable is Proxy Data for Understanding Past Climate Trends?

Proxy data is definitely fascinating, but I get where you're coming from. It’s like trying to read a book with half the pages torn out. Tree rings and ice cores are great, but they’re not perfect.

Have you checked out NOAA’s Paleoclimatology Data page? It’s got a ton of resources to help you understand the limitations and strengths of proxy data. Might help clear up some of your concerns!
