Honestly, I think the whole shopify residential IP thing is a bit overhyped. I tried it for a month, and while it did reduce bot traffic, I didn’t see a huge difference in overall performance or security.
If you’re already using a good CDN and have solid security measures in place, you might not need it. But if you’re getting slammed by bots, it could be worth a shot. Just don’t expect miracles, ya know?
