Wow, thanks everyone for the suggestions! I tried using Wireshark like someone mentioned, and it looks like there’s some packet loss happening on my network. I’m gonna check with my ISP to see if they can fix it.
Also, I increased the socket timeout and added retry logic, which seems to be helping a bit. Still getting the java.net.sockettimeoutexception: read timed out error occasionally, but it’s way less frequent now.
I’ll give PingPlotter and MTR a shot next to see if I can narrow it down further. Really appreciate all the tips—this community is awesome!
