Hey, I feel your pain. The "connection request failed 407" error drove me nuts for days.
For me, it was a firewall issue. My antivirus was blocking the connection. I added an exception for the app, and it worked.
If you're using Windows Defender or another antivirus, try disabling it temporarily to see if that fixes it.
