For openapi get from request json, I’d say ditch the manual work and use Swagger Codegen.

It generates the parsing logic for you based on your OpenAPI spec. Saves so much time.

Validation-wise, OpenAPI’s built-in checks are decent, but I layer Joi (for Node) on top for extra safety.
