Best way to convert json to dict in function python? Need help! or How to properly handle json to dic

Wow, thanks for all the replies! Didn’t expect so many tips for json to dict in function python.

Tried the try-except block first, and it worked like a charm. Also checked my JSON with JSONLint—turns out there were some sneaky trailing commas.

Still curious about `simplejson` though. Anyone know how it compares speed-wise to the built-in module?
