asocks proxy is hit-or-miss for me too. Works great one day, then totally craps out the next.
For geo-unblocking, I’ve had better luck with SmartDNS services like Unlocator. They’re built for streaming and don’t slow you down like a proxy sometimes does.
Still, asocks is okay if you’re just trying to watch a show here and there.
