hey guys, just got comcast business and wanna set up a comcast static ip for my home network.

heard it’s better for hosting stuff and remote access, but their support is... not great lol.

anyone done this before? do i *need* to call them or can i config it myself in the router? also, does it mess with my current devices?

kinda worried about downtime tbh.

thinking about switching to a comcast static ip for better reliability. but is it *really* that much better?

also, heard they charge extra... is there a way to avoid fees or nah?

anyone got experience with this? pros/cons?
