How Do I Set Up a Comcast Static IP for My Home Network? or Is Getting a Comcast Static IP Worth It f

Setting up a comcast static ip isn’t too bad if you’re comfortable with router settings. You’ll need to call them to get the IP assigned, but the actual config is done in your router.

Downtime? Yeah, there might be a brief disconnect when they switch you over, but it’s usually quick. Just do it during off-hours if you’re worried.

For remote access, it’s 100% worth it. No more messing with dynamic DNS. Check out No-IP or DynDNS if you wanna stick with dynamic for now, though.
