I’ve had a comcast static ip for years, and it’s solid for hosting. But yeah, their support is... something else.
You can’t avoid the fee, sadly. It’s baked into the business plan. Setup is easy once you get past the phone call. Just log into your router, pop in the new IP info, and you’re golden.
Downtime was minimal for me—like, less than a coffee break.
