What is the proxy server for PS4 and how does it work? or Can someone explain what is the proxy serve

Hey everyone, thanks for all the replies!

So sounds like a proxy server for PS4 is mostly for downloads or bypassing restrictions, not really for lag. I’ll give one a shot for faster updates—maybe Luminati or StormProxies like you guys suggested.

Quick follow-up: Anyone know if using a proxy affects party chat or streaming? Don’t wanna mess that up.

Thanks again!
