"How secure is it to use VPS as VPN? Any risks or better alternatives?"
Hey guys, been thinking about setting up my own VPN using a VPS cuz I wanna ditch those shady free VPNs lol. But like... *how secure is it to use VPS as VPN* really?
I know it gives me more control, but I’m low-key worried about logs, my ISP snooping, or the VPS provider peeking at my traffic. Also, is it *actually* private or just *feels* private?
Anyone tried this long-term? Any gotchas I should know? Or should I just stick with a paid VPN like Mullvad or Proton?
