Honestly, a VPS VPN is better than free VPNs (those are basically malware lol), but it’s not perfect. You’re still trusting the VPS company, and some of them are shady AF.
If you go this route, at least use Algo VPN (https://github.com/trailofbits/algo)—it automates a lot of the security stuff. Still, a paid VPN is less hassle and more anonymous.
