How Secure Is It to Use VPS as VPN? Any Risks or Better Alternatives? or How Secure Is It to Use VPS

I tried the VPS VPN thing and switched back to Mullvad after 6 months. Why? Maintenance. You gotta update, monitor, and troubleshoot constantly.

Security-wise, it’s *okay*, but unless you’re a sysadmin, you’ll probably miss something. And yeah, your VPS provider can see your traffic unless you’re tunneling through another VPN (which is overkill).
