"Can someone explain how many ips in a /29 actually?"
Hey guys, quick question that’s been bugging me. I keep seeing different answers online and just wanna clear it up.
So, how many ips in a /29? I know the math *should* be simple, but some folks say 8, others say 6 usable... which is it?
Also, does the network and broadcast IP eat up 2 of those? Like, is it always total IPs minus 2?
Kinda need this for a project and don’t wanna mess it up. Thanks in advance!
(PS: If you’ve got a dumbed-down explanation, even better. Networking isn’t my strong suit lol.)
