Hey everyone, kinda new to this stuff and trying to wrap my head around it. So, what is http proxy exactly? From what I gather, it's like a middleman between your device and the internet.
When you use an http proxy, your requests go through it first before hitting the web. It hides your real IP, kinda like wearing a mask online.
Why would you need one? Well, maybe to bypass geo-blocks or just keep your browsing private. Some folks use it at work to access blocked sites (not that I’d recommend that, lol).
But how does it *actually* work? Does it slow things down? Anyone got real-world examples?
