"Can an ISP Proxy Server Really Improve Your Online Security?"
Hey everyone, new here but been digging into proxy servers lately. So, I keep hearing about an *isp proxy server* as a way to boost privacy, but how legit is it?
Like, does it actually hide your IP from snoops, or is it just another layer that *your own ISP* can still monitor? I get that it routes traffic through their servers, but does that mean they see *everything*?
Also, are there any decent free options, or is it all paid stuff? And what about speed—does it slow things down too much?
Kinda torn between using one or just sticking with a VPN. Anybody got real-world experience with an isp proxy server? Would love some no-BS advice.
Thanks in advance!
