Which is better for privacy: HTTP SOCKS proxy or a VPN? or How does an HTTP SOCKS proxy work compared

Honestly, http socks proxies are overhyped. They’re better than nothing, but if you’re trying to stay *truly* anonymous, they’re not the move.

VPNs encrypt everything end-to-end, while a http socks proxy just routes your traffic. Big difference.

If you’re just testing the waters, fine. But for anything serious, invest in a VPN or use Tor.
