"Best Way to Configure wget Proxy Settings? Running Into Issues!"
Hey folks!
Trying to set up a wget proxy but hitting a wall here. I’ve got my proxy details (IP, port, creds if needed), but wget just ain’t playing nice.
I’ve tried adding `--proxy=on` and tweaking the `.wgetrc` file, but either it ignores the proxy or throws errors. Anyone got a foolproof way to make wget proxy work?
Like, do I *need* to edit the config file, or can I just pass flags in the command? And what’s the deal with auth—do I cram the username:password in the URL or use `--proxy-user`?
Bonus points if you’ve got tips for debugging this mess. Wget’s error msgs are… not helpful lol.
Thanks in advance!
