Ugh, proxies are finicky. If you’re on Mac/Linux, Chrome sometimes ignores manual settings. Try launching it with:

`google-chrome --proxy-server="socks5://IPORT"`

Works for me! Also, *hide.me* has free proxies if you’re just testing.
