Hey! I feel your pain with html compiled to pdf. I’ve had good luck with Puppeteer (a Node.js library). It’s free and gives you way more control over the output.
Just gotta write a tiny script to launch a headless browser and print to PDF. Handles responsive designs pretty well too.
Downside? You’ll need some basic JS knowledge. But once it’s set up, it’s solid.
