Hey everyone, kinda new to this stuff so bear with me lol.

I keep hearing about http proxy servers but tbh, I'm not entirely sure *what is an http proxy server*? Like, is it just a middleman between my device and the internet? How does it even work?

Also, ppl say it helps with privacy... but how? Does it hide my IP or something? Or is there more to it?

Would really appreciate a simple breakdown—no jargon pls!
