"Need a simple code to check a website in Python – any suggestions?"

Hey folks!

I'm trying to find a *simple* code to check a website python script. Like, just see if a site is up or down, maybe get the status code?

I’ve seen some stuff with `requests` but not sure if it’s the best way. Anyone got a quick example?

Also, what if the site is slow or times out? Need something reliable but not too complicated.

Thanks in advance!

Yo!

Trying to figure out the easiest way to write a code to check a website python style.

Should I use `urllib`, `requests`, or something else? Just need basic stuff—status code, maybe response time?

If you’ve got a snippet or tips, drop ’em here! Bonus points if it handles errors nicely lol.

Cheers!

Hey everyone,

Need a solid code to check a website python script. Something that won’t break if the site’s down or super slow.

I’ve messed with `requests.get()` but wanna make sure I’m not missing a better way.

Any pro tips or clean examples? Maybe with retries or timeout handling?

Thanks! You guys rock.
