What’s the best way to set up a SOCKS proxy for secure browsing? or How reliable is a SOCKS proxy com

"Why is my socks proxy connection slow, and how can I fix it?"

Hey guys,

So I set up a socks proxy for better privacy, but man, it’s crawling like a snail. 🐌 Anyone else deal with this?

I’m using a free socks5 proxy (maybe that’s the issue?), and it’s kinda all over the place. Sometimes it’s fine, other times it’s just *painfully* slow.

Could it be the server location? Or maybe my ISP throttling it?

Also, any tips to speed things up? Heard switching ports or trying a different provider might help, but not sure.

Thanks in advance!
