Can someone explain the proxy settings meaning and how they work? or What exactly is the proxy settin

Proxies are the "no, I’m not home, I’m at my friend’s house" of the internet.

They fake your location/IP but don’t encrypt like VPNs.

Use ‘em for light privacy or bypassing blocks.

Apps ignore proxy settings ‘cause they’re rebels. Or poorly coded.

For a simple fix, try Psiphon—it’s proxy/VPN hybrid.
