What can people do with your IP? Should you be worried?

Hey everyone, just been thinking about this lately. What can people do with your IP? Like, is it really that big of a deal?

I know they can kinda see your general location, maybe mess with your internet if they’re skilled. But can they like, hack into your devices or something?

Also, how do you even protect yourself? VPNs seem popular, but are they enough? Or am I overthinking it?

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences. Maybe some of you have dealt with this before?
