Ugh, parsing issues are the worst. "Unexpected token" usually means malformed JSON—maybe trailing commas or unescaped quotes?

Quick hack: Wrap the parse in a try-catch and log the *exact* error + a snippet of `response.text`. Sometimes the error message lies.

If it’s intermittent, could be server-side! Check the API docs for weird edge cases.
