Having a Parsing issue with my code – any ideas what's going wrong? or Parsing issue causing unexpect

Wow, thanks y’all! Tried the `repr()` trick and spotted some weird null bytes—no idea how those got in there.

Forced UTF-8 decode and it worked! Still confused why the API’s sending garbage tho.

Follow-up: Any way to *prevent* this parsing issue server-side? Or just handle it in the client forever?
