Selenium JS is still solid, but yeah, the setup sucks.

Playwright and Cypress are shinier, but if you’re already deep in Selenium, stick with it.

The key is pairing it with good patterns (Page Object Model, etc.).

But if you’re starting fresh, maybe try Playwright—it’s less headache for async stuff.
