I gave up on Google API search images because of the pricing confusion. Their docs make it sound simple, but it’s not.

Now I just use DuckDuckGo’s API for images. It’s not as polished, but it’s free and no hidden costs.

Also, consider just downloading images manually if your project is small. APIs can be overkill sometimes.
