Ugh, proxy stuff is such a pain. If you’re on Windows, maybe your firewall’s blocking it? Try disabling it temporarily to test.
For proxy server settings in program, some apps hide it under "Advanced" or "Network" tabs. If not, maybe the devs just didn’t bother adding proper proxy support.
