"New to networking—what are the proxy settings and how do I set them up?"
Hey everyone! So, I’ve been hearing about proxy settings but tbh, I’m kinda lost. Like, *what are the proxy settings* exactly? From what I gather, they’re like a middleman between your device and the internet, but how does that even work?
Do I need to mess with them for normal browsing, or is it more for specific stuff? Also, if I *do* need to set them up, how? Is it just flipping a switch in settings or something more complicated?
Kinda feel dumb asking, but gotta start somewhere, right? Any help or dumbed-down explanations would be awesome!
