MTGGoldfish proxy is still my go-to for quick and dirty testing. Yeah, the quality isn’t tournament-level, but who cares for casual games?

Legality-wise, WotC doesn’t care about kitchen table proxies. Just don’t try to pass them off as real cards at your LGS.
