"Backend vs JavaScript: Which Path Should a Beginner Take?"
Hey everyone! 👋 So I’m just starting out in web dev, and I’m kinda stuck on whether to dive into backend vs javascript first. Like, JavaScript seems *everywhere*—frontend, frameworks, even some backend stuff with Node.js. But backend feels more... mysterious? Like databases, servers, all that jazz.
Which one’s better to learn first? I don’t wanna waste time going down the wrong rabbit hole.
Also, is one more *future-proof*? I hear backend devs make bank, but JS skills are super in-demand too.
Would love to hear your thoughts—especially if you’ve been in this spot before!
(Also, sorry for any typos—typing this on my phone lol)
