Can someone explain the deadstock meaning? Is it just old inventory? or What exactly is the deadstock

Deadstock = unsold, unused, and forgotten. It’s like that pair of jeans from 2010 still sitting in a box somewhere.

Not the same as surplus, which is just overstock from recent seasons. Deadstock is usually older, sometimes even decades-old, but still mint.

Why’s it popular now? Eco-friendly flex. Brands and resellers hype it up as "saving" old inventory. If you wanna dig deeper, Heddels has a great guide on deadstock meaning and how it’s used in streetwear.
