How Can I Change My IP Address? Need Help! or Quick Question: How Can I Change My IP Address Safely?

thanks for all the tips! i tried restarting my router and it *did* give me a new IP (checked with whatsmyip.org).

but now i’m curious—if i use a VPN, does it *replace* my IP or just hide it? like, can websites still see my original IP somehow?

also, shoutout to the person who mentioned Tor—gonna test that for fun lol.
