Hey folks!

So I’ve been digging into this whole *reverse proxy vs forward proxy* thing, and tbh, it’s a bit confusing. Like, both handle traffic, but when do you actually use one over the other?

From what I get, a forward proxy hides clients (like employees browsing), while a reverse proxy hides servers (like your website backend). But I’m still fuzzy on real-world use cases.

Anyone got simple examples? Like, would you use a reverse proxy for load balancing but a forward proxy for, say, blocking social media at work?

Also, is one *better* or just depends on the setup?
