omg the grayed-out proxy box is the WORST. Here’s what worked for me:

1. Open CMD as admin
2. Type `netsh winsock reset` and restart.
3. If that fails, try `regedit` and navigate to `HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings` and delete any proxy-related entries.

Be careful with regedit tho! Backup first.

For mobile, just toggle airplane mode or reset network settings.
