"Open Proxy vs. VPN – Which One Actually Protects Your Privacy?"
Hey guys, so I’ve been digging into this whole *open proxy* thing vs VPNs. Like, everyone says VPNs are safer, but some ppl still swear by open proxies cuz they’re "free" and "easy."
But here’s the thing—how safe is an *open proxy* really? I mean, anyone can run one, right? No logs, no encryption, just a random server some dude set up. Sounds sketchy af.
VPNs cost money, but at least they’re *supposed* to protect your data. With an open proxy, you’re basically trusting some stranger with your traffic.
What’s y’all’s take? Am I overthinking it, or is an open proxy just a privacy disaster waiting to happen?
(Also, how do you even *find* a legit one that’s not a scam? Lol.)
