Are Discord IP bans permanent? Can I get unbanned or change my IP?

"Hey guys, quick question—are discord ip bans permanent?

Got banned a while ago and idk if it’s forever or if there’s a way around it. Like, can I just change my IP or do I need to contact support?

Also, if it *is* permanent, does that mean I’m screwed unless I get a new router or use a VPN? Some ppl say it’s easy to bypass, others say Discord’s system is tight.

Anybody here been through this? Would appreciate some real answers, not just guesses lol.
