I’ve used Keepa for tracking amazon price over time, and it’s been super reliable!
It shows price history charts for almost any product, and you can even set alerts for price drops.
From what I’ve seen, Prime Day and Black Friday *do* have real discounts, but sometimes amazon inflates prices beforehand to make the "sale" look better.
