Which Growlanser Game Has the Best Storyline and Characters? or Is Growlanser Worth Playing for Fans

I’ll check out the PSP version—hopefully it’s not too pricey.

Quick follow-up: does IV have any major missables? I hate missing out on cool stuff in my first playthrough.
