If you’re just trying to hide your IP for casual stuff, a private internet access proxy server is alright. But don’t expect it to be Fort Knox.
For real security, you need encryption, which proxies don’t offer. I’d say use a proxy for small stuff and a VPN for the rest. ExpressVPN is my go-to.
