Man, I wasted *days* on this until I found `json5`. It’s like JSON but way more forgiving—comments, trailing commas, all that.
Not exactly the best open source model for extracting json data, but if your input is messy AF, it’s a lifesaver.
Python lib: `json5`
JS lib: `json5` (shocker, right?)
Downside? Slower than vanilla JSON parsers, but worth it if your data’s a trainwreck.
