What Does the 410 Error Code Mean and How Do I Fix It? or Getting a 410 Error Code – Is the Page Gone

Dealt with this last week! 410 error code hit my client’s site—turns out their dev got trigger-happy with the "delete" button.

1. Restore the page from backups.
2. If it’s *supposed* to be gone, 301 it somewhere useful.
