Getting a 406 Not Acceptable Error – What’s Causing It and How Do I Fix It? or Why Am I Seeing a 406

Hey! Had the same 406 not acceptable error last week—drove me nuts. Turns out my server was rejecting requests cuz the Accept headers were messed up.

Check your .htaccess file for any weird rules. Also, run a quick curl -I [your-url] to see what headers are being sent.

If you're on Apache, mod_negotiation might be the culprit. Try disabling it temporarily to test.
