Compatibility is key. Check if your new proxy supports the same features as your old one, like caching or load balancing.
For downtime, you can use a load balancer to redirect traffic gradually. That way, there’s no sudden cutoff.
Also, don’t forget to update your DNS settings. I made that mistake once, and it was a mess.
