Man, I feel you. Testing proxies can be a pain.

I swear by Pingdom or GTmetrix to check proxies for speed. Just throw your proxy list in there and see which ones load pages fastest.

Also, try rotating them—some might be slow for one site but lightning-fast for another.

Free option: HideMyAss has a decent checker, but it’s hit or miss.
