Is a SOCKS5 VPN the Best Option for Faster and More Secure Browsing? Alternatively: How Does a SOCKS5

Used SOCKS5 VPN for torrenting and it was *fast*. But then I realized my IP was still exposed in the swarm. Big oof.

Switched to Mullvad + WireGuard and it’s almost as quick but way safer.

TL;DR: SOCKS5 = speed, WireGuard = speed + security. Pick your poison.
