Getting hit with a 429 status code - how do you handle rate limiting effectively? or Why am I seeing

"Why am I seeing a 429 status code and how can I fix it?"

ugh, just got hit with a 429 status code AGAIN. 😤 anyone else constantly running into this?

i know it’s rate limiting, but my script isn’t even spamming that hard... or so i thought.

how do you guys handle this?

- backing off with exponential retry?
- tweaking request intervals?
- or just begging the API for a higher limit lol

also, any tools to monitor when you’re close to hitting the 429 status code?

pls share your hacks before i lose my mind. 🙏
